Kareem J. Spratling, Esq. of Bryant Miller Olive P.A. Honored with 2023 President’s Service Award by The National Association of Bond Lawyers
Tampa, Fla. – October 26, 2023 – Kareem J. Spratling, Esq., Bryant Miller Olive P.A. (BMO) Tampa Office Managing Shareholder, was named the 2023 President’s Service Award honoree. This prestigious award is presented annually by the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL). This distinction is awarded to a NABL member who demonstrates exemplary voluntary dedication to NABL’s committees, conferences and/or projects.
The award ceremony took place at the 2023 NABL Annual Meeting “The Workshop” in Chicago, Illinois at The Chicago Hilton from October 18-20. Spratling is the former Chair of NABL’s General Law and Practice Committee.
Spratling is responsible for spearheading the Bond Basics project – an interactive encyclopedia of public finance law concepts and terms. This significant project provides certain foundational information to serve as a resource and guide for public finance novices as well as experienced professionals who wish to revisit some of the basics of public finance transactions.
In addition, the NABL Board of Directors voted Spratling to serve as a Board Member. Since 1979, the National Association of Bond Lawyers has promoted the integrity of the municipal market through the education of its members in the laws affecting state and municipal bonds. NABL serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas as to law and practice, giving members valuable tools to help them continually improve the state of the art in the field.
Spratling has over 17 years of experience as a practicing attorney in Florida focused on public finance matters. He is particularly skilled in the role of bond counsel on conduit bond transactions. He is the Chair of the Board of Directors for Feeding Tampa Bay, President-Elect of the Florida State University College of Law Alumni Association, a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL), Past Chairman of the NABL General Law and Practice Committee, Leadership Tampa, Leadership Alliance Advisory Board (LAAB) and Former Board Member and Legal Counsel Executive Committee Member of Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.
